Not really, but Sausalito is a really beautiful place. It’s what is on the other side of the Golden Gate Bridge. Guess what I had for lunch?? A turkey sandwich. Wrong! well, kind of right. But it was a California Club, so technically, it had ham too!

I’m easily amused…

Rudy’s Can’t Fail Cafe I have visited more than a handful of Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives stops – in Pittsburgh, PA, Houston, TX, and now making the rounds in the Bay Area.  We found this place like many others before it, we got hungry after shopping for a new sofa, and google mapped food.

I wimped out…. but this GIRL didn’t!

How can something that looks so ugly taste so good? and because it’s turkey, it’s not half bad for you.

Real Simple Turkey and Beans Chili recipe I get a lot of great recipes from the Real Simple magazine. Next time, I’m going to try White Turkey Chili.

1. Everyone needs to ride the Cable Cars at least once, I don’t care how hip you are in your skinny jeans, it’s fun, I like to do it almost every time we go in the city

2. If you get on at Union Square and ride down to Fisherman’s Wharf, on the corner of Hyde and Beach, is the Buena Vista. They swear they invented the Irish Coffee – and it’s delicious. like perfect. like D refuses to drink any coffee, but will still partake in the tradition.  Check back and I will upload a video of the artistry that goes into creating the famed drink.

What you see:  cute cat sitting on counter

What I see:  angry rebellious little monster, who clearly knows he is not allowed on counters, but is pissed off because he has to stay in a large bathroom with a window while the movers are delivering our stuff.

Believe it or not, I have a weak stomach! and of course, I had to christen the new home as soon as we got here! So first dinner consisted of Miso soup, ginger ale, and water.  This combo has saved me more than once.  Also, I am eating on the floor – no furniture yet.

So – we drove from Houston, TX to our new home in Pleasanton, CA. We decided to have a picnic lunch at one of the more scenic rest stops in north Texas. Sometimes, there’s nothing that feels more comforting than a turkey sandwich and fresh fruit.  And, yes, we dined 2o feet from the rattlesnakes sign. But don’t feel bad for me. Consider the caged kitty! ;-)
